Aberdare National Park

Aberdare National Park with an area of 767sq km of rainforest is among the highest mountain ranges in Kenya. The two main peaks in Aberdare is Ol Donyo Lesatima standing 3,999m and Kinangop with 3,906m above sea level.

Aberdare National park is vital water catchment area for existence of wildlife, plants and local communities surrounding the area. With varieties plants as giant alpine lobelia, groundsel, heather and various zones from rainy to moorland support various species of wild species include elephant, lion, black rhino, leopard, red duiker, colobus monkey, giant forest hog, bongo antelope and bird species. On foothills side of Aberdare found an impressive waterfall.
