Tarangire National Park

Named after Tarangire River a unique permanent source of water in the park that cross the park area. The park covered with various vegetation zones range from acacia woodland, open grassland to deep gully vegetation and rocky hilltops.

Tarangire support numbers of wildlife include herds of elephants, zebra, impala, wildebeest as well as buffalo, giraffe, warthog, eland, predators especially lion, cheetah, wild dog and over 500 species of birds.
